Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Ashburn Pole Buildings (“Ashburn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information about you when you visit our website, request a detailed quote, use the Barn Builder planning tool, or otherwise contact us. We're a custom post-frame (pole) building company serving Delaware.
We're the party responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at stu@ashburnpolebuildings.com or by phone at (302) 922 0965.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your questions and prepare your building. That includes:
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, the property or ZIP where you want to build, and the project details you share through a quote request, the Barn Builder, a text or call, or an email.
- Building preferences. The building type, size, and options you select in the Barn Builder so we can prepare your detailed quote.
- Automatic technical information. Basic details your browser sends, such as device and browser type, general location (city/region), pages viewed, and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, or financial account numbers through this website. If financing is involved, that application is handled directly by a third-party financing provider under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule your free on-site consultation;
- Prepare and send your detailed written quote;
- Communicate with you about your project, by phone, text, or email;
- Operate, secure, and improve the website and the Barn Builder;
- Measure how our marketing performs and reach people who may want a building like yours (see Cookies & advertising); and
- Meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.
If you opt in to texts, message and data rates may apply and you can reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, understand how it's used, and show relevant ads on Google and Meta platforms. Some of these are set by us and some by those partners. You control them through your browser and, where offered, our on-site cookie preferences. The full list, purposes, and durations live in our Cookie Policy.
If you allow analytics cookies, we also record how visitors use our pages (the pages they view, where they click, and how far they scroll) so we can find and fix what gets in the way. Every form field is masked in these recordings, so nothing you type is captured. If you don’t allow analytics cookies, no recording happens.
Using cookies to show you ads based on your activity may be considered “targeted advertising” (or a “sale” or “share” of personal information) under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out. See Your choices.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it: to respond to your inquiry, to complete a project, and afterward for the period our records, warranty, tax, and legal obligations require, then we delete or de-identify it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to provide a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Delaware residents have these rights under the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act, and residents of other states (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia) have comparable rights under their own laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at stu@ashburnpolebuildings.com. We will verify your identity before we act on a request, and we will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and may extend once by a further 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or writing to stu@ashburnpolebuildings.com with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We'll review the appeal and respond within 60 days. If we deny the appeal, we'll tell you how to contact your state attorney general to submit a complaint.
Your choices
- Cookies & ad tracking. Adjust your browser settings or use our cookie preferences to limit analytics and advertising cookies. See Cookie Policy.
- Opt out of targeted advertising / “sale” or “share.” Limit advertising cookies through our cookie preferences, or email stu@ashburnpolebuildings.com and we'll process your request.
- Email & text. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to any text, to stop marketing messages. We may still send you messages about a project you've started with us.
Children’s privacy
Our website is meant for adults planning a building project. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and we work with service providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business, technology, or the law changes. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll provide a more prominent notice. Please check back from time to time.
